Ingredients
1 Box Three Farm Daughters Rotini Pasta
2 tbsp butter
1 large shallot or ½ yellow onion, minced
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 ½ cup diced fully cooked ham
1 cup frozen peas
½ cup cream
1 cup pasta water
½ cup parmesan cheese
½ tsp salt
½ tsp pepper
Fresh chopped parsley (optional)
Shredded Parmesan cheese for garnish
Directions
Fill a large pot with water and add a generous amount of salt, bring water to boil. Add pasta and cook until pasta is tender. Before draining, reserve 1 cup of the pasta water, and set aside. Drain Pasta.
While pasta is cooking melt butter in a large saucepan. Add shallot or onion and cook for two minutes, then add garlic and continue to cook for an additional minute.
Add cooked ham and frozen peas to the pan, stir until peas begin to defrost.
Add cream, pasta water, parmesan cheese, salt, and pepper.
Stir until combined, then fold in cooked pasta and plate.
Garnish with chopped parsley and shredded parmesan cheese if desired. Enjoy!
